Nut Butter Spiders

This nutty no-bake recipe is great for your little ghosts and ghouls.

Ingredients:

  • 5 tbs smooth nut butter (peanut, cashew or almond)
  • 5 tbs confectioner’s sugar
  • 5 tbs crushed graham wafers
  • 5 tbs crushed chocolate sprinkles
  • Thin black licorice lace

Mix together nut butter, sugar and wafer crumbs.

Remove a small chunk of mixture and form it into two balls, one slightly smaller than the other.

Roll the balls in the crushed chocolate sprinkles.

Place smaller ball on top of larger ball, creating the spider’s head and abdomen (mixture is pliable so you work the balls so that they stick together).

Cut licorice lace into smaller pieces to make legs.

Push 4 legs into either side of the abdomen.

Repeat until mixture is finished.

Chill spiders and serve.

Variation: Try rolling balls around Popsicle sticks instead and dipping them into melted chocolate. Add licorice legs and let set in freezer. Store in fridge until ready to serve.
